Sadly we have news of the death of one of Nailsea Theatre Club’s members. Joan Tyson passed away on Sunday evening 2nd February. Joan, with husband Graham, was one of the founder members of Nailsea Theatre Club over 5O years ago. A great achievement. Many of Nailsea Little Theatre’s Patrons and Associates will have been part of NLT’s journey through the numerous productions where Joan regularly featured either as an outstanding actress or as the play’s director.

One of Joan’s most memorable acting roles was in “Crown Matrimonial” when, as Queen Mary…..

One last point, not comprised in the main blog, NLT was sorry indeed to learn of the passing of local theatrical legend Chris Harris. Chris was a talented, versatile actor who loved the Theatre in all it’s many guises.Chris performed at NLT a few times and was a good friend and supporter and who despite being a very busy actor always had time to send an encouraging email to us on special occasions. Chris was a kind gentle man who took great pride in his craft and NLT send our condolences and love to his family.

Please see “Ticket Availability” on the “What’s On” page for details. Our second show of the Season is now fixed, Bob Beale having kindly agreed to direct Neighbourhood Watch by Alan Ayckbourn. First performed in 2011 this is one of Ayckbourn’s more recent works not long released for amateur production. More details will be available nearer the production date.

On a more sombre note we are sad to announce the passing of Peggy Jones on the 1st August. Peggy along with her late husband Alan was a staunch supporter of NLT and could often be found pitching in to help with all manner of tasks. Even in her later years she was a regular participant in Club events and will be much missed. Our thoughts and sympathy go to her family.
