  • Hound Rips Up Theatre!

    16 November 2014

On the 14th November NLT was pleased to welcome for the first time Jenny Wren Productions presenting their entirely irreverent version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic tail, The Hound of the Baskervilles. Three actors worked like dogs to play all the characters in this fast-paced comedy which was a triumph. Congratulations must go to the cast and crew for a first class evening’s entertainment and for those of you who missed it do try and catch the Hound at another venue. You will not be disappointed!

On a sadder note you will recall our recording the death on 23rd October of Graham Bartlett (Bart) at a nursing home in Sussex. Bart’s funeral has now taken place but with members unable to attend his friend Julie and Graham’s son Tim invite his Nailsea friends to join them to celebrate Bart’s life on Friday 28th November at the Theatre from 7:30. Everyone welcome.

We are also now looking ahead to the second NLT production of the Season, Bob Beale having kindly agreed to direct Snake In The Grass by Alan Ayckbourn. First performed in 2002 this thriller promises to be an interesting show and something of a departure from the author’s usual style. Details of ticket availability will be announced in due course.

Likewise don’t forget to check out the What’s On page for details of Productions and NLT events and note in particular our usual Mulled Wine and Mince Pies evening in December and the Skittle evening in January….(click Read More and/or the title to see the full post)

First of all a big thank you to all who attended NLT on the 28th November to celebrate the life of “Bart” with his friend Julie and Graham’s son Tim. Graham would no doubt have approved!
