You and Amateur Girl

5th - 10th February 2018

NLT’s February Show is being directed by Vicki Hyde and will be staged simply with the black curtains and a minimalist set. We will be performing a short play called “You” by Mark Wilson (recently released for non-professional production) which centres on a woman recalling memories of a significant (and life changing) decision she made as a young adult.

The remainder of the evening comprises a performance of “Amateur Girl” by Amanda Whittington relating the life of Julie an auxiliary nurse, working long hours for a low wage in a Nottingham hospital. She cares for the elderly and feels her own life is passing her by but clubbing with the girls breaks the routine. However, Julie longs for some real excitement and a bit of spare cash.

A Musical Evening with Kate McNab & John Telfer

2nd & 3rd March 2018

As a further addition to the 2017/2018 Season NLT is pleased to announce the return of Kate McNab together with John Telfer to Nailsea Little Theatre on Friday 2nd March and Saturday 3rd March 2017. This is a fantastic two-hander of an event and an evening not to be missed. Following the success of this event previously we are pleased to offer two dates and please see the “Ticket Availability” for details when the tickets are released. It is anticipated that the seating for this production may be arranged “cafe style” so seats may be at more of a premium! The ticket price will be £12.00.

Kate McNab is the consummate jazz singer. Ex-Sweet Substitute harmony group, Kate’s oral history shows such as Doodlebugs and Bogeymen and Mrs. Gerrish’s Guesthouse have been much-loved in this area since 1997. This Show welcomes fellow actor and maestro musician/singer and composer John Telfer, a former member of the Bristol Old Vic Company and Bergerac cast member, currently playing Alan Franks, Vicar of Ambridge, in The Archers.

Their acclaimed first two-hander was The Very Thought of You in 2015, which sold out a three week run at The Brewery in Bristol. The Show of Strength dinner theatre show, Fanny & Johnny Craddock, continues to tour.

Dates - Third Show
