A Musical Evening with Kate McNab & John Telfer

2nd & 3rd March 2018

As an addition to the 2017/2018 Season NLT is pleased to announce the return of Kate McNab together with John Telfer. They treated a sell-out audience at the town’s Little Theatre to an evening of their favourite hits this time last year. Now they’ll be performing at the Union Street venue again – but for two nights not one. They’ll be on stage on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 March, re-creating classics from Sinatra to Carole King and from Ella Fitzgerald to Elton John in their own inimitable style.

Said Kate: “We’re very happy to be coming back to Nailsea. The Little Theatre’s a lovely, intimate venue – and the audience there really loves its music.” Jazz singer Kate is a former member of the Sweet Substitute harmony group. She and musician, singer and composer John are also known for their acting careers. Kate’s oral history shows such as ‘Doodlebugs and Bogeymen’ and ‘Mrs Gerrish’s Guesthouse’ have been delighting audiences since 1997. And John – who also plays Alan Franks, Vicar of Ambridge in Radio 4’s The Archers – is ex-Bristol Old Vic. The two also combined in 2015’s two-hander‘The Very Thought of You’ and their touring dinner theatre show,‘Fanny & Johnny Craddock’.

Tickets for their two Nailsea shows – at £12.00 – are now available from the Box Office 0777 298 1037.

Strictly Murder

14th - 19th May 2018

“Strictly Murder” a thriller by Brian Clemens is our third Show of the Season. To be directed by Connie Walker the play was first staged at Sonning Theatre in February 2006.

The action takes place in a remote rustic cottage in Provence, France in April 1939, where an English couple are living in idyllic isolation, far, it seems, from the rumblings of the coming war and Hitler generated radio rhetoric. However, all is not what it seems and their peace is shattered from within and when a Scotland Yard detective arrives, events become even more complicated and frightening!
